About My Fractal Art:

Salutations Everyone,

In addition to blogging and the work I'm doing in both the diabetic online and off-line communities; I am also a graphic artist by hobby. Recently I've been toying with the idea of learning about photography, and adding it to my list of hobbies, lets see how that goes in the distant future. I've always done some form of graphics (off and on) since the starting days of "Multimate" and "Procom Plus+" (if some of you can actually remember that far back :-) LOL).The art I have created over the years has been extremely diverse in nature, however, this particular section will only focus on my "fractal" creations.

If you've never heard of fractal art before, here is on of the best explanation I could find on the net: "A geometric pattern that is repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. Fractals are used especially in computer modeling of irregular patterns and structures in nature".

Oxford Dictionary defines fractals as this: "a curve or geometric figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole. Fractals are useful in modeling structures (such as eroded coastlines or snowflakes) in which similar patterns recur at progressively smaller scales, and in describing partly random or chaotic phenomena such as crystal growth, fluid turbulence, and galaxy formation".

In a nutshell, in terms of computer art, fractals are created by using complex mathematical schemes to create the desired art effect. I find that fractals are extremely complicated for me to explain. This is only because I focus more on the art of it, and not the deep mechanics of it. I'm sure any mathematician who all day focuses on polygons, triangles, hexagons, etc, etc, can explain it much better than I ever can. I often use several programs, tricks and techniques to create my final artwork. Each of my artwork was, and continues to be created through the eyes of my heart, rather than my own phyical eyes. I really do hope all my visitors enjoy browsing through my art, as much as I love creating them. Peace..
